유은 U Eun

작가노트

유은은 초등학교에서 어린이들과 관계를 맺으며, 그곳에서 매듭짓지 못한 이야기를 텍스트, 사운드, 설치 등 작업으로 풀어가는 작가이자 교육자이다. 세속적인 얽힘의 과정을 탐색하며 교차성에 기반한 상호연결을 위한 예술 실천을 지향한다. 현재는 예술의 페다고지적 실천의 여러 가능성을 모색하는 동시에, 듣기의 정치적 수행성에 대해 관심을 기울이며 청취에 관한 리서치를 이어가고 있다.

Artist Notes

U Eun is an artist and educator who builds relationships with children in elementary schools and develops unresolved stories from those encounters into works of text, sound, and installation. Her practice explores processes of secular entanglement and seeks artistic forms of interconnectedness grounded in intersectionality. Currently, she investigates the diverse possibilities of pedagogical practices in art while conducting ongoing research on listening, with a particular interest in its political performativity.
